“If your story matters to you, it will matter to her.”
“Handing over my life story was not easy. I wasn’t looking for a writer—I was looking for someone who would understand silence, nuance and the weight behind certain decisions. Vama did exactly that. She didn’t just document my journey, she gave it dignity.”
“What stood out was not just the writing quality, but the depth of listening. Vama has a rare ability to extract meaning from conversations and transform them into a narrative that feels honest and powerful. This book now represents my legacy far better than I ever could have created myself.”
“There were moments during the interviews when I realised things about my own life that I had never acknowledged before. That level of reflection only comes when you talk about it and the writer truly understands people. The final manuscript felt deeply personal. Highly recommended"
“Wanted to get my dadi's story shaped and printed for her birthday. From research to interviews to final delivery, the process was extremely professional. Timelines were respected, communication was clear and the outcome was amazing. Pure legacy work.”
“Frankly, I was scared at first if I will ever be able to share my story with anyone. But Vama brought that sensitivity and non-judgemental attitude to her work. She knows what to highlight, what to hold back and how to present a life story with balance and integrity. There were few things I never wanted to share because people may judge me but it was done in a subtle manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone serious about documenting their journey.”
“The book didn’t feel written about me. It felt written from my side. That’s rare. Recommended to all.”
The cover of the book "Heels Boots n Casuals" itself is totally worth it. This book is not at all a casual read, as the name might suggest. If you think its is just another rom-com you are gravely mistaken. This is a brilliant story of the drastic transformation of Sana from the carefree girl to a strong, confident and independent woman. It also touches upon the importance of coming out of a toxic relationship as soon as possible. Written in a very engaging way, the book is really enjoyable. I love women centric stories so this was a great read for me.
Wish all readers a healthy health. One of the finest reads that I had in the post covid era. As an avid reader since 10+ years and with a collection of more than 500 books, I am never attracted to any genre which glorified a particular historical clan and their lifestyles, as a result this book was gifted to me by my favourite cousin. This is my first book from author Vama Gaur and I must admit that this book (The Mughal Harem) has been an amazing ride of reading from the first page till the last paragraph of the book. Starting from the title, the book cover with Sitting Lady in Red wooing the Taj Mahal, the color and the amazingly rather apt lucid writing by author Vama Gaur makes it a very relishing and delectable read for all genres of readers especially history and epic lovers.
Married So what? - A Bond Beyond Perfection written by first-time author Vama Gaur addresses some very pertinent questions that arise in modern-day marriages. With more and more women joining the workforce, the traditional 'wife' roles are changing. The new roles are more oriented towards the complete making of a human being. Not only women, but the very roles of human beings need a change in perspective. 'Bread-winner', 'Housewife' and so forth are constricting and very narrow-minded. Therefore when one sees a change in society, a change is imperative for the 'people' in the society. Sticking to the old norms and traditions needs a change in perspective.
